Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
