The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the initial group of heroes who will separate from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged battle-oriented gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look out of place, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the group has a clear idea where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then cleared his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, north of the urban center, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each adventurer has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his house’s orders to execute the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • But, their reputation as important members in House Halovar could help the party access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Questers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
